Oh-oh...

Music: “Watts in a Tank”/Diesel

Mood: S***!
In my glass: Côtes Du Rhône Villages (but now I’m making hot choco)

Oh-oh… S***!! …Think I’ve caught a cold: got a sore throat, tears in my eye.. am sneezing every 10 sec. … Can’t really “afford” that now!!

--------------

“Watts in a Tank” CD (by Diesel) arrived today. YAY! It was one of my faves at that time… early 80s. I have it, of course, on an analogue LP but not on a CD. I looked for it on Amazon.com but only found 2 of them for…. lots of lots of euros!! Naaaaahhh…. It’s just too much, isn’t it?? Then I was told that there was a kind of company that digitalizes the analogue albums of Dutch artists officially (which means “with official permit”). THANK GOD (or whoever!).

…Ah,… I really like that! Heeeeee… it was… those were the days… If there was such a thing like a time machine, the (late) 70s and the early 80s would definitely be my first destination.

---------------

It was such a beautiful day today! Cold but sunny… a crisp cold, winter day! I took Fox for a long walk, which he seemed to like. BUT, there’s one thing.. he walks sooooo slowly. You don’t get cold when you walk fast… or just keep walking. With this dog of mine, it’s impossible to keep walking. Fox wants to “take time” at every tree and every… thing. Brrrrr…. Oh, well, OK, it’s his walk: what else has he got in his agenda? It’s my duty to… um… walk him a couple of times a day.. Hmmmm… no, no, it’s not only my duty but my “privilege” (my eyes rolling now) as well. I’m glad and very happy that I have this dog. Yes

Grass and wine...

Music: play list 190107 (adding more and more various artists to the list to see what happens to the recommendation list from LastFM)

Mood: neutral

Had a headache again yesterday. Not really a heavy one but still.. um.. kind of annoying. Well, it means that the headache is not because of listening to Thunder (phew!). I thought it was a good opportunity to go to sleep early – and so I did. I finished a cup of hot choco and went to bed at around 1:30, read a book for half an hour or so. I think I was in my dreamworld by 2:15. Yes, it’s very, very early to me. But then… I woke up to the loud noise of storm (grrrrrrr) – the sound of heavy rain and wind kept me awake for almost the whole night.

--------------------------

Went to an “open house” party at my new neighbours’. They – a nice, young couple - moved to this street a few months ago. It was nice to meet them and also to have a chat with other neighbours. They had, btw, very nice wine: Californian Zinfandel. Ha! That’s the same as my favourite “Primitivo”! Another wine, Spanish red, was good, too. I have the same (Spanish red) wine sometimes but it never tastes so good. Hmmmm… is it possible that wine tastes better at neighbours’? Just like the grass is greener there? Or.. the wine tastes better when you drink it with company.. perhaps.

Passing storm

Music: Thunder, OL, Lyn.Skyn. etc.

Mood: hhhmmm
In my glass: Just had herb tea

Oh-oh… it was such a non-productive day! Well, I have an excuse... I woke up with a headache and I couldn’t get rid of it for the whole day.

--------------------

A big storm hit this part of Europe yesterday. It was the heaviest storm since October, 2002. I had to go to the printer twice – grrrrr… No, Kym., forget about the bike! When we had a storm with wind force 7 last week – it was also on Thursday –I was almost blown down several times. This time – wind force 10+ - I was so cautious I went on foot. Ay, I never knew even walking was that hard!
OK, I survived the storm!

--------------------

Yay! I managed to add my “weekly top artists” list!! I know, I know… it’s only a matter of “copy and paste” …. Well, I needed to adjust the html a bit… phew! I’m too analogue for it :(

--------------------

Called my mother yesterday to wish her a happy B-day. Oh ya, right… I’m still going to make a photo album for her. It’s a long term project of mine :P

--------------------

Am doing my homework: listening to Thunder’s latest album to get prepared for the concert in march. The album is SO d*** good! Well, I was listening ONLY to Thunder last night (at the loudest!)… Could it be the cause of my headache today??? It’s possible (lol). So, I added other music to the list today.

Quick one

Music: Thunder (Definitely!!)

Mood: a bit tired… but fine

----------------------

A package from Amazon.com has arrived.. YAY!! Wow, that’s fast.. I ordered 3 CDs on Monday night (=Tuesday morning).

I haven’t really listened to the CDs yet… but here’s one of the songs I already like very, very, very much!! And it’s especially for RascalM: Thank you.

More later.

A Million Faces
(Thunder)

I’ve never seen you look so empty
I’ve never heard you sound so low
I’ve never felt your pain so deeply
And I just wanted you to know

Cos when your smile feels like you’re lying
When it’s all too much to bear
There ain’t no use denying
You gotta put that weight down somewhere

And as a million faces go by
You’re gonna find a new connection
On that you can rely
And you’ll feel your heart take wings and fly
But we’ve all gotta get a little broken sometimes

You say “what’s the point in living?”
When your world’s been torn apart
Well there ain’t no shame in crying
And that’s a pretty good place to start

Cos as a million faces go by
There’ll be more than one to touch you
And make sense of your life
You can harden yourself up all you like
But you’re still gonna get a little broken sometimes

And though I know you don’t believe it right now
You gonna get through this somehow
As time dulls the edge of the pain that you feel
You feel…….

And as a million faces go by
You’ll find a new connection
On that you can rely
And you’ll feel your heart take wings and fly, see it fly
You can harden yourself up all you like
But you’re still gonna get a little broken sometimes
