Blessed weekend

Music: Manu Chao, Aerosmith, OL, Free, Damn Yankees, Thunder and more.

Mood: Recovering
In my glass: California white

Last night I couldn’t access internet. There was a connection; the modem was working alright, was connected to the “external computer” (=the provider, right?). But I just couldn’t access the internet and my mailbox. I found out that I got a strange IP-address every time I tried to log in. OMG! It happened once when a very mean adware/spyware had got into my pc! NOOOOOOOOO!! I really need to be online this weekend… I need to send some e-mails to the clients and do some administration work and such.. I checked the website of the provider (thank God I still have a dial-up connection via another provider!) to see if there was any troubles known.. The answer was “no”. PANIC! Dr. Norton says my pc is clean… but then.. why? Again PANIC!

It’s such a blessing to have somebody to say to you:
“Just go to sleep now. Everything will be alright tomorrow.”

…Sweet AngelM did magic again. He came online when I was checking the provider’s website. I was kinda “shouting” in panic and he tried to calm me down. It was exactly what I needed. Oh-oh, AngelM… where could I be without you?

Anyway, the first thing I did this morning was to check if I had an access to internet. No, it wasn’t working yet.. but at least I found a message on the website that there was a problem and that they were working on it. Ah! So, it’s not a virus or spyware or anything that kind in my computer.. PHEW!

-------------------

Thought I’d do grocery shopping first… and I found my bike had a flat tyre. Hm… ok, it happens sometime, doesn’t it? I wasn’t feeling like fixing it right away so I decided to walk to the shopping centre. “It’s only a 15-20 minutes’ walk.. so why not? …I feel much better than yesterday”, I thought (I had no energy left yesterday – very, very low battery).

When I came home, I found one of the cats – I think Ponta – had thrown up all over the carpet in my room. …OK, it happens sometimes, doesn’t it? Cats do that from time to time.

I just stepped over the cat’s vomit, turned the pc on.. YES! Hehehe.. I’m connected to the world again.

Hmmm,.. there are a lot more items I’d like to write about.. I’ll try soon.

All Right Now
(Free)

There she stood in the street
Smiling from her head to her feet,
I said “Hey, what is this?”
Now baby, maybe
Maybe she’s in need of a kiss.
I said “Hey, what’s your name baby,
Maybe we can see things the same,
Now don’t you wait
Or hesitate,
Let’s move
Before they raise the parking rate.”

All right now
Baby, it’s all right now.
All right now
Baby, it’s all right now
All right now
Baby, it’s all right now.

I took her home to my place
Watching ev’ry move on her face,
She said “Look, what’s your game
Baby, are you tryin’ to put me in shame?”
I said, “Slow, don’t go so fast,
Don’t you think that love can last?”
She said “Love, Lord above,
Now you’re tryin’ to trick me in love.”

All right now
Baby, it’s all right now.
All right now
Baby, it’s all right now.
All right now
Baby, it’s all right now.

You Got the Silver

Music: “Beggars Banquet”, “Let It Bleed” by The Rolling Stones

Mood: Fine
In my glass: Zinfandel (that’s what they call “Primitivo” in California)

AngelM sent me the above mentioned Stones albums. Ah! Well, I have them both on LP (you know, the big, black thing…) but not on CD. Now I can play them on my puter! YAY!

Once I was watching a film on TV… suddenly I heard a tune I knew… “You Got the Silver” of the Rolling Stones. The film is “Zabriskie Point”… I don’t recall what the film was about… hahaha… but it’s a very COOL movie! …I mean, that’s what I thought about it then… although I always mix it up with another movie “IF”.

Anyway, I’d like to watch “Zabriskie Point” again… and if you get a chance to see it.. please don’t miss it.

I see Venice is coming to NL again very soon.. to Utrecht. Ha!

You Got The Silver
(Rolling Stones)

Hey babe, what’s in your eyes?
I saw them flashing like airplane lights
You fill my cup, babe, that’s for sure
I must come back for a little more

You got my heart
You got my soul
You got the silver
You got the gold
You got the diamonds from the mines
Well that’s all right
It’ll buy sometime.

Tell me, honey, what will I do
When I’m hungry and thirsty too
Feeling foolish (and that’s for sure)
Just waiting here at your kitchen door?

Hey baby, what’s in your eyes
Is that the diamonds from the mines
What’s that laughing in your smile?
I don’t care, no,
I don’t care

Hey,
Babe, you got my soul
You got the silver
You got the gold
Is that your love
Just made me blind

I don’t care, no,
That’s no big surprise

Thursday...

Music: right now "Relish"/Joan Osborne
Mood: empty
In my glass: just finished Zinfandel

…Thursday evening I’m really a wreck…. Worn out, no energy left, empty, very very low fuel… while my “cache memory” is too full.
All I want is just to have a rest, have my sleep out the next morning – the last thing I’d like is… to be at the Dentist’s at 9.

Uuuuurrrrrrggggghhhhhh!!

...It's been 5+ weeks...!!

Music: Today’s list (and I don’t remember which day this “today” was…) – John Mayer Trio (oooooh, so nice and rockin’-bluesy!), Thunder (of course!), Bad Company, Free, Lynyrd Skynyrd etc.

Mood: hm.. let me think…
In my glass: Italian red

Aaiai… it’s been already more than 5 weeks since my last post… I haven’t even written about the concert of Thunder yet!

edit:
ah, it's not true. I see now my last writing is from the end of March... but yes, it was only a very short one and it's about nothing particularly... (although that headache and dizziness comes back from time to time)

------------------

Oooh-hooo… it was GREAT! This time I went on my own to the concert. But there at the venue I saw 2 girls who I had met the last time in Amsterdam. It was so nice to see them again. This time we had more time to talk and exchange e-mail addresses and such. …And the concert was “WOW” again. Their performance is really amazing every time. The sound was good, too! Well, as a fanatic but real amateur “photographer”, I’d wish more (and more natural tinted) lights. OK, OK, I know it’s then my problem that I can’t handle the low lights. Well, I will learn some day. BTW, I had a chance to talk to a guy who did the lights. He told me that it was the best he could do with the lighting equipment of the venue. Hehehe. Sorry, I shouldn’t have complained.. cos the light show was alright, you know. It’s just the.. er.. for the photos, that’s all!

OK… after the show.. the girls had to hurry home cuz they had to drive a long way homebound. And me too, actually, by public transport but I then noticed I had lost the lens cap of my film camera. When I was looking for the cap, a guy came up to me and asked if I had “a pass”. OMG… with my poor English.. I couldn’t catch exactly what he was saying.. I thought he was saying that I should have a pass to take pics of the show… But in fact, he was asking me if I had a pass for the “aftershow”. OMG again! No, I don’t and how I wish I did!! He said he had one for me if I wanted. I explained to him that I had to hurry to catch the train. He said I could keep the pass anyway and gave it to me (oh, btw, he’s the one who did the lights who I mentioned above). OK… think, Kym., think. How much time do I have to catch the train to Utrecht? And how much time do I have to catch the very, very last train if I miss that one?? Conclusion: it’s an offer I couldn’t refuse. I’ll take the very, very last train (which will take 3 hours to get to Utrecht instead of 1 hour).

ANYWAYS, I was too optimistic about the public transport there in Zoetermeer. Nobody could tell me where to catch a bus to the station. I tried to call a taxi, which didn’t pick up the phone. I was getting desperate and went to ask people if someone could give me a lift. AAahhh… NOBODY?? Well, finally, a group of 3 very kind people (2 ladies and 1 gentleman) gave me a lift to a train station. Phew-ew-ew-ew! They truly saved me!

It was, I think, around 3:30 in the morning when I got home. I let Fox out quickly and.. yeah, guess what.. I still had to work! #@%&%*)!_&^$%!!!!!! Hm… no, no, I’m not complaining. I had a super wonderful time at the concert, met some nice people, too. It was anyway an unforgettable adventure for sure.

--------------------

And-er… what more happened in the past 5 weeks.. hm…
Ah… Fox was peeing again blood.. This time I didn’t go to the vet’s; I just waited instead. And yes, 3 days later it was over. Well, I don’t know if it’s really over but “it” looks now normal. He doesn’t seem to have pain either.. so I hope it’s alright now (for a while..).

--------------------

I watched TV 3 times (wow, that’s really much!); 3 films: “American beauty”, “Office space” and “Lost highway”. I liked them all. It was hard, however, to follow the last one (“Lost highway”). Well, ok, it’s a David Lynch film. I don’t think I’m the only one.

Yes, I watch TV more often now (mostly films)… I think it comes because of the big sofa I got from my neighbour. It’s such a comfy sofa; perfect for watching TV (and sleeping on it, too).

---------------------

Ah! I almost forgot!
I decided to take a photography course. It’s a kind of serious course… 4 year course and when you finish it (all those exams and such) you can call yourself a “photographer”. I’m not sure if I’m going that far: maybe I stop after the first year, which is the basic course. But who knows… The course starts in September… I can’t wait!
(hm.. I have to pay the fee first..)

----------------------

and-eh..
I’m surviving a hard time. Well, I know it’s just me. It’s me who’s making it hard, I know. I know that too well.

-----------------------

(To be continued)
