Self-destroying briefcases

Music: Various (PC is playing all the albums I ripped at random order); right now "Firefly" from "Don't Tread" by Damn Yankees
Mood: Flying

The flight tickets arrived today… YES!! :D :D :D :D :D
I checked the tickets more than 50 times… everything seems to be correct… hm, I don’t see “vegetarian meal” mentioned anywhere.. but it should be alright. And then, usually I don’t read all the rules and restrictions… but this time, while I was leafing through the notes on the ticket cover, it just caught my attention: there are 13 items that “Passengers baggage must not contain”. OK, all the toxic, dangerous chemicals and stuff… I understand them all… except: Self-destroying briefcases. Heh?? Is this serious? Ha! It’s the “Mission Impossible”!!! You know, the “Good morning, Jim”-thing. I used to watch the show on TV when I was a child. I liked the theme music too. But look here, I’m not talking about the MOVIE (with Tom Cruise) but the ORIGINAL TV SHOW with Peter Graves… it was SO cool!

Anyway, another 31 days to go… :) :) :) :) :)

Living Together

Why ain’t we livin’, livin’ together instead of being so so far apart
Why ain’t we livin’, livin’ together instead of being so so far apart
Why ain’t we livin’ together, livin’ together instead of bein’ alone
Why ain’t we livin’ together, livin’ together instead of bein’ alone

I lay my heart on you and you can show the way
I give my everlasting love until my dying day
Take this lonely soul, the water or the wine
A chance to make you mine
I lay my body on the line

Why ain’t we livin’, livin’ together instead of being so so far apart
Why ain’t we livin’, livin’ together instead of being so so far apart
Why ain’t we livin’ together, livin’ together instead of bein’ alone
Why ain’t we livin’ together, livin’ together instead of bein’ alone

My life was emptiness until you came along
I nearly fell apart, you took my heart and made me strong
I need all of you to get me through the night
A chance to see the light
I lay my body on the line

Why ain’t we livin’, livin’ together instead of being so so far apart
Why ain’t we livin’, livin’ together instead of being so so far apart
Why ain’t we livin’ together instead of bein’ alone
Why ain’t we livin’ together instead of bein’ alone

Happy Mother's Day!

Music: “Don’t Tread” by Damn Yankees, “Edge of Forever” by Lynyrd Skynyrd
Mood: could be better

…Oh-oh… It’s a capital crime… I forgot to call my mom. Well, not really “forgot”, but I was too late to make a call…you know, I should consider the time difference so I wouldn’t disturb her night rest… Hm, I’ll call her tomorrow… but I’m sure she won’t like it, and that she’ll punish me for this… I’d need a very good excuse…

To avoid having to feel guilty twice, I called my ex-Mother-in-law. She and her husband have always been very kind to me and they still are; I still have frequent contact with the family and I’d like to keep it that way. Tonight, though, after my conversation with her on the phone, there was a (short) moment that I wondered again what I was doing here. I’m not too sentimental or uncomfortable about it anymore… it’s just… hm, dunno.

Speaking of being sentimental, I was feeling very down and lonely yesterday. …I miss him so.

**sigh**

More Than Words

Saying “I love you”
Is not the words I want to hear from you
It’s not that I want you
Not to say, but if you only knew how easy
It would be to show me how you feel

More than words
Is all you have to do to make it real
Then you wouldn’t have to say that you love me
‘Cause I’d already know

What would you do if my heart was torn in two?
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real
What would you say if I took those words away?
Then you couldn’t make things new
Just by saying “I love you”

More than words

Now I’ve tried to talk to you
And make you understand
All you have to do is close your eyes
And just reach out your hands
And touch me
Hold me close, don’t ever let me go
More than words
Is all I ever needed you to show
Then you wouldn’t have to say that you love me
‘Cause I’d already know

What would you do if my heart was torn in two?
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real
What would you say if I took those words away?
Then you couldn’t make things new
Just by saying “I love you”

More than words
More than words

050505…Nothing particular happened today

Music: “British Rock Symphony” by various artists
Mood: “See Me, Feel Me” (from “British Rock Symphony”) – originally by The Who

Woke up very late… I mean, VERY LATE. OK, ‘cause it was almost 7 in the morning when I finally went to bed, and the cats were restless and noisy all the time… so I just couldn’t sleep…. That’s my excuse. I’m so glad, btw, with my easy, lazy dog that keeps on sleeping until I wake him up. Ever heard of such a dog? No, don’t think so…he’s so… different from other – normal – dogs. Anyway, I went for a short walk with Fox… it was very quiet here in the neighbourhood. It’s a national holiday just before weekend… so, many people have left for a long weekend already, I presume. When I came home, I saw a bike parked here at my door. Ah! Somebody was here to see me… but where is (s)he now? I still had my jacket on when A. knocked on the door. She wanted to know if I was doing alright. We went to sit on the balcony, I made tea and we had a nice chat.

Except for this, nothing particular happened today… as if the whole world had a holiday…. Hm, ok, maybe it’s because I don’t watch TV or listen to the radio (no newspapers today), I just don’t see/hear what’s happening. I will know only tomorrow when I read the paper, what happened today.

See Me, Feel Me

See me
Feel me
Touch me
Heal me

See me
Feel me
Touch me
Heal me

Listening to you, I get the music
Gazing at you, I get the heat
Following you, I climb the mountain
I get excitement at your feet

Right behind you, I see the millions
On you, I see the glory
From you, I get opinion
From you, I get the story

Listening to you, I get the music
Gazing at you, I get the heat
Following you, I climb the mountain
I get excitement at your feet

Right behind you, I see the millions
On you, I see the glory
From you, I get opinion
From you, I get the story
