Tulips - can't wait till spring

Mood: delighted but sleepy
Today I saw 2 tulip shoots in the flower pot on the balcony. I was much too late to plant them this time. Fortunately it’s been rather mild till now and they seem to be doing alright. Hope they are going to bloom as beautiful as those on the photo below :-)

I love tulips. They rank up there among my favorite flowers. My all-time favorite flower is, of course, a yellow rose. But daffodils are a close second.
You might get a garden of tulips yet--the weather here has been so strange that one weekend we had ice, the next week it was really warm, and it confused the plants. The trees have started to blossom already! :)

Junniper,
It’s about the same here. Seems like we have had almost all seasons in one week. For the coming weekend, clear blue sky with a lot of sunshine is forecast. Sounds good… but it also means that it will be very cold at night. Hm, okay, we can’t have all; one thing at a time. Besides, I like crisp cold starry night.

P.S.
I like tulips now much more than I used to. Roses are still my No.1.

You should see it here, Kym. All the rain we had over the last three months has turned the desert green. There are millions of wildflowers everywhere. Even some of the cactus are starting to bloom. Pictures to come later.
